At 10:37pm ET on election night, with the results going the wrong way for his side, Donald Trump posted: “I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The record: he wasn’t on the ballot, so there is nothing to check the landslide against, and he offered no evidence for it. What did happen is on the record: AP called control of the House and the Senate for Democrats, and his endorsed candidates lost AP-called Senate and governor races in Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas and both Carolinas. Shortly before that post, he told the New York Times by phone that he was “absolutely willing” to accept the results.
