Trump revives his Warren DNA bit: ‘I had more Indian blood than she does’

Donald Trump took his oldest Elizabeth Warren bit out for another lap in Lubbock on Tuesday. Her DNA test, he says, showed “I had more Indian blood than she does. And I have none, unfortunately.” The math is his.

The riff is the old one. Warren, he says, “made a career” out of being “an Indian,” and “I drove her crazy, and she went out” and got tested. The test, he says, found “a tiny semblance” that was “so tiny that it showed you had no Indian blood.” Then his number: she was “1,024th.” Those are his descriptions of her test, not ours.

What the 2018 analysis actually said: strong evidence of a Native American ancestor six to 10 generations back. People converted that into a range of 1/64 to 1/1,024. He went with the far end, as you do.
