Donald Trump told a Daytona Beach crowd “We have plenty of time,” then asked, “Would everybody like to hear a couple of additional stories?” They got one he’s told before.
First, the new material. By his account, Melania says “it’s not presidential when you do the weightlifting thing,” and pleads: “don’t dance anymore. You’re the president.” “She’s a very elegant woman,” he added, and she “might have the biggest movie” of the year. “Women went to see it five, six times.” Box Office Mojo has Melania at about $16.4 million domestic, 74th for 2026. The year’s No. 1, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is at about $958.8 million, roughly 59 times as much by our math.
Then the rerun. He said Biden had a hard time finding his way off a stage, and “I made the terrible mistake of imitating him one night.” Afterwards he called the first lady: “How great was I tonight? ... We had 58,000 people.” His number. Her review, by his account: “well, what was wrong with you? You couldn’t find your way off” the stage. “The fake news set me up.”
He told the same story in Wildwood, New Jersey, in May 2024, same punchline, per the Factba.se transcript. Two and a half years later, the review hasn’t changed. Neither has the act.
