Good news for Abdul El-Sayed: if Trump gets his way, he’s being sent back to Michigan.

Near the end of Friday’s rally in Daytona Beach, Trump thanked the men in the “Blacks for Trump” shirts and pitched them on the Michigan Senate race: vote “for Mike Rogers, not that other guy.” He claimed, offering no evidence, that El-Sayed doesn’t like Jewish people or Black people. Then: “I hope you’re going to vote against him and send” him “back to where he came from.”

El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee, was born in Michigan in 1984 to Egyptian immigrant parents. Earlier the same night Trump called him “a jihadist” and told the crowd: “if you’re black or if you’re Jewish and you vote for Abdul, you’re not smart. I’m being nice.”

On Thursday in Rock Hill, the same voters were “crazy.” Friday was the nice version.
