He told Greenville he’d skipped the overcoat because “I gotta show I’m all man.” The bit lasted twelve minutes.

That’s when Donald Trump got to Ohio Sen. Jon Husted, who wasn’t there. “I’m studying his body. I’ve never studied the body of a man before; it’s not my thing. Nothing wrong with it of course.” Then the review, in order of importance. “I looked at his ass.” Verdict: “it’s like a pile of muscle.” Then the feet: “man, his feet are big.” Then the shoulder, which he tapped, and which “actually hurt my hand.”

Policy content of this segment: none. Political content: Trump claims the story took Husted from 10 points down to two points up. A Senate strategy built on glutes. If it works, his opponent should start doing squats.

For the record, Husted was an actual All-American defensive back at Dayton, a real achievement that until Tuesday was remembered for tackles. And this is a rerun. He did a version in Kentucky on Saturday, plus the jawline. “It’s never been my thing,” he said. Twice in four days.
